Welcome
to the Thai Riviera |
Hundreds of kilometres with white sandy beaches, some developed and well-known like Cha-am Beach, Hua Hin Beach and Takiab Beaches, others remote and endless like Chao Samran Beach, Puk Tian Beach, Pranburi Beach, Khao Sam Roi Yot Beach, Wanakorn Beach, Laem Kum Beach, Ban Krut Beach, Bang Burt Beach and Thung Wua Laen Beach form the Thai Riviera along the Gulf of Siam. From the town of Phetchaburi close to the capital Bangkok to the "unseen" Nai Plao Beaches, Na Dan Beaches and Kho Khao Beaches of Khanom close to the world-renowned island of Koh Samui, a wide range of different resorts, from basic bungalows to 5-star luxury, are available to choose from. Every region, every beach is different, each has its own character made up of the surrounding mountains, mangrove forests and inland lagoons. Lean sand dunes with sparse vegetation, coconut and rubber plantations and the distant mountains along the Burmese border, form the diversified landscape, disrupted by fishery harbours, mountain top temples and local villages.
Discover the Thai Riviera coast along the Gulf of Siam on your own by following the information provided on these pages, rent a car and make up your own programme or board one of the local busses to find your Thailand dream beach. The railway line is most often closer to the beaches than the streets and stops frequently. Access to the Thairiviera coast is easy with the main air hub in Bangkok (BKK) and an airport in Surat Thani (URT). With secondary airports in Hua Hin and Chumphon, the State Railway of Thailand's Southern Line and an extensive network of local busses and private transportation services available throughout the region, travelling along the Thai Riviera can be diversified and fun.

We have taken utmost care in collecting all the information on these pages and are updating them constantly. However, we can never be up to the latest developments: new resorts open up, train, busses and boat connections change their schedules following changes in passenger's behaviour and beaches are washed away by the tides or loose their charme by irresponsible constructions. Please help us keeping these pages up-to-date and mail us any information, you might miss or any mistakes you might find. We really appreciate your help. |
